What is EOS Audit?
EOS Audit is created to assist Pomelo, and the broader EOS community in making informed decisions.
EOS Audit comprehensively reviews and analyzes Pomelo and affiliated EOS Support projects. The goal is to provide project updates, progress, and assist donors in decision-making during Pomelo seasons and EOS Respect elections.
The goal of EOS Audit is to provide the community with decisive project information to assist in decision-making and provide assurance and transparency. Additionally, the research provided may be used to advance the network's knowledge base in new ways, bringing forth deeper understanding.
What are the audit's key categories?
They are six primary categories:
Key points
EOS Support affiliation status
Contact point and project links
Current status
Previous status
Grant Issues
The Owner's Statement category entails the project's owner statement during an existing grant issue. The EOS Audit Community plans to adjust the report depending on the feedback it receives from EOS community members.
You can find all the Audit Reports in the EOS Support Learning Center.
How is the information gathered?
The EOS Audit Community uses independent techniques to audit EOS projects comprehensively. Broadly, those techniques consisted of the following:
collecting unique data
insightfully investigation of existing data
interviewing grant owners
Note that direct project links and publicly available information are the primary means for tracking progress. Ultimately, an unresponsive project is deemed uncharacteristic. The EOS Audit Community believes that a project providing a public good for the EOS network should be responsive and made known if they have fulfilled their promises or deliverables.
Community request
The EOS Audit Community has a form sheet for the community to request grants to be analyzed.
Outlook
The new EOS provides unparalleled opportunities. Guided by the EOS Network Foundation and community leaders like EOS Support and Pomelo, network attacks, and bad actors continue to fall in number and impact. Transformative technology like blockchain comes at a price. EOS community members are increasingly willing to do what it takes to take the P2P Web3 economy to the next level.
Your donation makes a difference in bringing accountability to the EOS community. Kindly support the EOS Audit Community by donating to their Pomelo grant.
