In this short step-by-step guide, I will show you how to store your EOS safely and use them effectively by delegating the voting rights to the trusted EOS Support Proxy. For those of you who already know how proxying works and are just looking for the name of EOS Support's proxy, please check the banner above.

Prerequisites:

Let's get started:

In order to delegate your EOS voting rights to a proxy, they need to be staked. In this example, we stake/lend them to REX (Resource Exchange) to get paid an additional reward to the 4% APY Rewards given out by the Proxy.

Before we start, please make sure your EOS Account is powered up. Get a free power up here.

Step 1

Please navigate to the block explorer bloks.io and login with your EOS Account (upper right corner). Then click on REX (look for the red arrow(s) throughout this article).

Step 2

Scroll down to Lend Liquid EOS and enter the Amount of EOS, you want to lend (stake) to REX. When the desired amount is set, click on Lend EOS to Rex and sign the transaction with your EOS Wallet.

Step 3 (optional but recommended)

This step is optional, but enhances security by introducing a 4-day time delay before making REX funds liquid again (they call it "selling your loans"). REX offers the option to move your lent EOS to savings.

Why should you consider moving the funds to savings?

If, in the unfortunate event, your Active Permission's Private Key gets compromised and someone attempts to steal your EOS, you'll have a 4-day window to take action (using your Owner Permission) and secure your funds.

Let's continue with Step 3

On the bloks.io REX page navigate to Move to Savings, enter the amount you want to move there and click Move EOS to savings. Then again, sign the transaction with your wallet.

Step 4 (with Anchor Desktop Wallet)

Now you are ready to set your Proxy. Remember: you are not giving away your tokens, only delegating the token's voting rights. Open your Anchor Wallet (Desktop version) and navigate to:

  1. Governance

  2. Proxies

  3. Search for eossprt.spt

  4. Click on the gray button and subsequently the green Confirm button.

Step 5 (for mobile users: Tockenpocket/Wombat/Anchor Wallet and more)

Step 5.1

On your mobile, use the browser and navigate to bloks.io where you log in with your wallet by tapping the Login button (upper right corner).

Step 5.2

Please select the mobile wallet you wish to use to log into bloks.io. Confirm your selection by signing in with the corresponding mobile wallet.

Step 5.3

Once you spot a colored icon displaying your EOS Account name in the upper right corner of your mobile screen, you've completed the login process on bloks.io. Now, you're all set to move forward and vote for a proxy.
Tap on Vote.

Step 5.4

Proceed by tapping on Proxies. Input eossprt.spt into the search field (green highlighted) and then tap Proxy to eossprt.spt. (Please make sure that the proxy name is accurate.)
You can now sign the transaction with your mobile wallet to confirm your choice.

Step 5.5

If all went well, you should be greeted by a reassuring green Success message, as seen below.

Congratulations!

You are now officially proxying your votes to the EOS Support Proxy eossprt.spt earning 4% APY Proxy Reward + additional reward from REX.

If you encounter any issues during the process, please don't hesitate to contact EOS Support directly. You can easily contact the Live Support Chat by clicking the blue icon in this page's lower right corner.
