In March 2022, Thian, a prominent member of the EOS community, launched Genki on Pomelo, an exciting open-source independent blog project. Genki stands out for its focus on content creation and community collaboration, and it has gained recognition by providing a robust and technologically advanced platform for its users.

Open source technology

One of the fundamental pillars of Genki is its open-source architecture. The project is built upon widely adopted open-source technologies, allowing developers and contributors to access the source code. An open-source approach fosters transparency and active community participation, creating a dynamic and constantly evolving ecosystem.

The Genki platform utilizes modern web technologies to provide a seamless and engaging user experience. The frontend uses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, leveraging popular frameworks like React.js or Vue.js to create interactive and responsive interfaces. This ensures that users can enjoy smooth navigation and optimal viewing of content, regardless of their device or browser.

As for the backend, Genki harnesses the power and flexibility of programming languages such as Python and Node.js to handle server logic and manage database operations. By utilizing relational or NoSQL databases like MySQL or MongoDB, the project can efficiently store and organize user-generated content, facilitating search and information retrieval.

Community Collaboration

Collaboration in Genki is facilitated through version control systems, which allow contributors to work in parallel and track changes made to the code. Additionally, it utilizes content management system (CMS) tools that enable organizing content, assigning roles, and maintaining a collaborative and efficient workflow.

Features

A notable feature of Genki is its subscription system, which is built upon user management technologies. By utilizing solutions like OAuth for authentication and reliable payment providers, the security of user data is ensured, and a seamless subscription experience is provided. Additionally, the subscription system allows users to access a newsletter and all future content, providing valuable and continuously updated resources.
