Ever since last year’s London events (Blockchain Expo Global and TOKEN2049), EOS EVM (bridge/documents) has been at the heart of the ENF's marketing campaign. Touted as the fastest EVM ever built, the cross-chain product boasts a speed of 800+ swaps per second. That equates to 3x faster than Solana and more than 10x faster than the second-fastest EVM.

In recent months the ENF attended many web3 events spanning several continents and regions. March was particularly busy. In anticipation of the EOS EVM launch, the ENF again surprised the community.

As much out of the blue as the partnership with the city of Busan, ENF CEO Yves La Rose announced a 9-day trip to Hong Kong spanning 20+ events. Among the itinerary is a meeting with Hong Kong officials to discuss:

“...how $EOS can play a key role in their future.”

Also, note the high-profile Consensus 2023 event in Austin on April 26.

EOS EVM Launches on April 14

With EOS EVM's last major update on January 20, the ENF announced an EVM beta launch for April 14. Expect the exact time to be closer to April 13 for the western hemisphere and April 14 for the eastern hemisphere.

The announcement preceded the March schedule of events. Adding to the excitement was news about EVM tokenomics. EOS was deemed the best option for a native utility token.

Ahead of the mid-April launch, the ENF facilitated participation in the final testnet and completed a security audit. The audit marked the last milestone before the EVM beta launch.

GameFi, DeFi, IBC, and Much More

ENF plans extend beyond building the fastest EVM on the market. Time and again, the foundation highlighted how EOS EVM is designed to support nextgen operations. Coordinating the release of AntelopeIO inter-blockchain communication (IBC) is one example. Laying the foundation for DeFi and GameFi are others.

DeFi, particularly Yield+, has been live and continuing to develop since 2022. More recently, the ENF announced that EOS Network Ventures would invest $20M in GameFi.

Each endeavor is potentially a game changer for developers with specific projects in each area. Taken together, the ENF has laid the foundation for never-before-seen web3 networking. No family of blockchains is capable of leveraging independent assets better than AntelopeIO. No other EVM can complete transactions as fast and cheaply as EOS EVM.
