During the Antelope Swiss Workshop, EOS Support Head of Communications Charles D. Arroyo-Bishop was invited for an interview with Patrick Schmid (CEO of NovaCrypto and creator of MindWeb) to talk about EOS Respect, EOS Support, and more. A lot of exciting news came to light that we don't want to withhold from you.

The Antelope Swiss Workshop: Web3.0 Full Spectrum, with Patrick Schmid from NovaCrypto

Seven developers were selected to present their projects under the banner. In addition to EOS Support, EOS Bees (Marketing 2.0), Pomelo (Public Goods on-chain), Albedo (Blockchain Overlay Protocol), Eden Fractal (Empowering EOS), Alien World Fractal (The road to the metaverse with fractal governance + EOS Translation Foundation) and Bywire (Independent News) were invited to be interviewed. "This is the paradigm shift where the different communities begin understanding how it is essential to circulate more EOS and create this value where information and data have been turned into knowledge."

Patrick Schmid, CEO of NovaCrypto Ltd

All about EOS Respect - An Evolution of the EdenOS Governance System

EOS Respect was launched by EOS Support to create a Network of Trust in a non-binding blockchain world. Under the great sign of accountability, delegates are selected by consensus decision in regular on-chain online meetings and make open and transparent promises in their pitches, which they are then expected to fulfill during their term.

Accurate accounting and compliance monitoring with campaign promises ensure professionalism, which is often lacking in the blockchain space. Most of these are funding promises, with only 100% public goods eligible. Moreover, there is a publicly available, constantly updated monthly report in the EOS Support Learning Center, where interested parties can find numbers and statistics about EOS Respect.

Who can participate in EOS Respect and how?

To join EOS Respect, you must join the EOS Support Ambassador program. This is very simple and is described in detail here.

The main idea is to add people who are highly motivated and serious about supporting the EOS ecosystem. This support can come in a variety of ways. Examples include:

Writing articles, social media work as an admin of channels, providing customer service, launching new projects that feel like a public good, etc. If you prove yourself as a valuable community member, you even have a chance to become an EOS Support Agent.

Why should I join the EOS Respect Community?

There are many good reasons to join EOS Respect. In general, EOS Respect offers an excellent opportunity for people to grow in and with the community, learn and work together on the idea of a more trustworthy Web3. Specifically, project starters can get funding through EOS Respect and make their project more accountable through the process. This makes EOS Respect-affiliated projects even more attractive to potential investors, users, and interested parties, who naturally place more trust in such projects.

  • The EOS Respect community offers other benefits for affiliated projects. Such benefits are:

  • EOS Support live chat icon on a projects page to get 24/7 customer service.

  • Free step-by-step tutorials in 9 languages for dApps classified as Public Good

  • Positive network effects by being included in the ER portfolio

What are the prospects for EOS Respect?

EOS Respect aims to establish itself as an efficient governance solution in the ecosystem and beyond, becoming a valuable, if not the most useful and practical on-chain application.

  • With the onboarding (admission) of affiliated projects, EOS Respect's treasury will steadily fill up and become an essential source of funding for public goods. The community, the blockchain scene, and perhaps even non-virtual communities will learn and benefit from the application-based implementation of this political playoff process, an evolution of Dan Larimer's ideas.

The Weekly EOS Support Giveaway Show - Interactive!

During the interview, Charles Bishop also talks about the EOS Giveaway Show, which he hosts weekly and has been running since May 2022. Below we briefly introduce this interactive online event, which, in addition to the latest information, also offers the opportunity to win EOS and NFTs in a raffle.

The EOS Giveaway Show is always LIVE and takes place weekly at 5pm (UTC) on Youtube and Twitter Spaces. This will include a brief recap of the Fireside Chat and discuss the latest EOS, EOS Support, and EOS Respect news. The event is interactive, so questions asked in the Youtube chat will be taken up and discussed in the show. At the show's end, there will be a quiz with challenging questions regarding the information presented earlier. If you pay attention during the show, you can answer all questions correctly with a bit of luck. All the winners will be rewarded afterward. This ingenious concept has seen more and more participation over the last few months.

So stop by, participate and win EOS and NFTs! Every Thursday at 5pm UTC.

Pomelo #4, NovaCrypto's EOS Support Engagement and Outlook.

Pomelo season 4 is upon us, applications are already open, and EOS Support is back to solicit donations from the community that are so important to this non-profit organization.

The Pomelo funding model has proven to be very efficient over the last 3 seasons and has been constantly optimized since then. Unlike other types of funding, Pomelo allows direct support to EOS projects that consider themselves a public good. It uses the quadratic funding mechanism, which ensures that the number of donors is weighted more than the number of donations - so the projects whose popularity in the community tend to have the highest success. Click here for the EOS Support Pitch on Pomelo.io.

Patrick Schmid also addresses his commitment to EOS Support again in the interview. In the last Eden election, he committed to donate a part of his Delegate Level 1 funds (365 EOS) to EOS Support in Pomelo Season 4. He and his project NovaCrypto were recently also onboarded to the EOS Respect community as an affiliated project. Patrick expressed his appreciation to Charles for the excellent and professional interview and said how much he was looking forward to working with EOS Support in the future.
