Antelope, the software which runs the EOS blockchain, is just a few weeks old. The ENF is but a year old. Yet, they both find themselves on the world stage. Not many people know that synchronizing the Antelope Leap 3.1 consensus upgrade (hardfork) with TOKEN2049 was part of the plan. A plan that comes with a wealth of community support.

TOKEN2049 Impact on Crypto and the World

Held annually in both Singapore and London, TOKEN2049 is the premier crypto event. Presentations center around leading Web3 companies networking and sharing their market views. All types of global development efforts take part.

Web3 has already become a discussion topic integral to humanity’s future. TOKEN2049 amplifies Web3’s audience by aiding related technologies that permeate everyday life. Actions taken here are an essential stepping stone for the mass adoption of blockchain. EOS community came together to discuss TOKEN2049 on a recent Fireside Chat.

By the Numbers

It’s no secret that the crypto industry’s best days were between the end of 2017 and beginning of 2018. Development during the first, mainstream crypto boom outshines even that of Q4 2021, when Bitcoin topped $60k. The TOKEN2049 team compared this year’s event to that first breakout period:

“...Singapore debut, making this the industry's largest and most well-attended event in years…”

Check out a few of this year’s stats from TOKEN2049 in Singapore:

  • 7,000+ attendees

  • 2,000+ global companies

  • 250+ sponsors

  • 200+ journalists

Networking opportunities characterize TOKEN2049, as well as some entertainment, creativity and fun. The most influential figures in crypto gather here. Globally recognized influencers with aligned interests also attend and find an open forum.

Singapore vs. London

TOKEN2049 Singapore is a two-day, main event for Asia Crypto Week. The week-long business convention and escapade offers endless potential. From September 26 through October 2, scheduled crypto events usher in a new wave of innovation. It’s the ideal place to showcase EOS on Antelope (Leap 3.1).

London expects to see about half as many attendees and journalists than Singapore. The London gathering seems designed to hone new networks. Where Singapore opens eyes to recent development, London follows with a grace period before commits are made to exciting new projects. It’s also a chance for projects to respond to feedback. TOKEN2049 London happens in November.

Still, Singapore seems to be where most of the action happens. The amount of support behind Asia Crypto Week is staggering. The ENF was well aware of that fact in planning and launching the first iteration of Antelope.

More than a Convention

TOKEN2049 exists to showcase emerging technological applications alongside networking for the future. Web3 professionals require more than the conventional business meeting.

TOKEN2049 welcomes large companies, small businesses, and independent projects. The sheer magnitude of the event spawns a spectrum of meetups and workshops. TOKEN2049 could be likened to a spin up Silicon Valley (in its heyday).

Need some perspective as to the influence wielded by TOKEN2049? How about scheduling a commencement rooftop party with the preeminent F1 (Singapore Grand Prix) race.

The ENF Presents EOS Network and Trust EVM

The ENF discussed TOKEN2049 weeks ahead of launch day. Given the unhealthy public opinion garnered by Block.one, it was wise to begin a New EOS promo tour the same week Antelope went live. It’s an event of unparalleled opportunity to network with influential figures, projects and companies that extend beyond crypto.

See ENF founders, Yves and Zack at a readied presentation. Word is getting out to an expanding EOS ecosystem:

“ ‘The future is multi chain and EOS Is open for business’ — @BigBeardSamurai 🙌 Great to learn about the new chapter of EOS Foundation! @EOSnFoundation”

EOS Community Supports the ENF

The ENF isn’t the only EOS representative in Singapore. Far from it. Rio Blocks and EOSphere were there holding down the fort. Online sentiments are as positive as ever. There’s an energy and eagerness to help that’s not been seen around EOS for a long time.

Some might still be in shock by what the ENF has been able to achieve. Even before Antelope was named, the community rallied around the foundation. Positive testnet activity continues to elevate moods. EOS Network at TOKEN2049… well that’s Moon worthy.

OUTLOOK

The New EOS has so much going for it. The community is vibrant. The ENF, believes in supporting the community and public goods, as well as relentless development and inspired innovation. Add a meticulously thought out plan, and what’s happening around EOS may one day prove to be historic, even legendary.
